The Best Cupcakes in Chattanooga

Who doesn’t love cake? Here are the best cupcakes in Chattanooga. And if cupcakes aren’t your thing, you can order cakes from these places as well. Get your sweet-tooth ready!

Cupcake Kitchen

Cupcake Kitchen offers all the unique flavors of cupcakes you’ve ever imagined…and then some. From Turtle to Tiramisu or even Key Lime Pie, you’ll find your favorite flavor here. (All three flavors mentioned are pictured above.) If you have a strong sweet-tooth, then this is the place for you. The cupcakes are fairly rich and very moist. And most of them even have a filling. They also offer other sweets and ice cream filled cupcakes. I’ve yet to try one of those but you can bet it’s on my list. This little shop is located on the crossroads of Broad Street and E. 5th, in downtown Chattanooga.

Chatta-Cakes Bakery

Chatta-Cakes Bakery is not located downtown like the other one. It’s instead in the heart of Hixson, just north of downtown. Cupcake varieties here are well balanced with flavor, moistness, and sweetness. Above, you’ll see I tried the “Wedding” flavor which is a rich amaretto flavor (almond). I also tried their “Lemon” which was not as rich but was very good as well. They also offer custom cakes and “Cake Bites” which are basically cake pops minus the stick. And their cake slices are great as well. I tried the “Coca-Cola Cake” but forgot to take a picture, sorry. But if you look closely at the second picture above, you’ll see it in the bottom left corner of the case. If you find yourself in the Hixson area looking for something sweet, you need to stop in and give this place a try.
