Tips for Visiting Chattanooga Pumpkin Patches

These Chattanooga pumpkin patches are on local farms so they might be muddy or dusty depending on the weather. Come prepared, dressed to be outside and maybe get a little dirty. If it’s been raining, prepare for the mud. If it’s been dry, you can expect dust.

Be mindful as the ground will be uneven in the pumpkin patches due to the nature of growing pumpkins. Watch your step and be careful not to squash any pumpkins!

If you have any questions about picking pumpkins, be sure to ask the workers at the farm before you head out to the fields. Certain pumpkins are better for baking while some are better for decorating with paint or carving.

When you take your pumpkins home, wipe them off with a disinfectant wipe to remove the natural fungus that grows on them in the field. This will insure the pumpkins last all season for whatever plan you have for them.

Most locations have additional activities, porta potties, food, and more, so be sure to dig into the info further on each location with the blog posts linked at the end of each pumpkin patch listed above.
