Be Caffeinated started as just a drive-thru only coffee shop in Red Bank, TN. Today they have 4 locations around the Chattanooga area. Be Caffeinated has a strong presence in the local community due to their charitable nature. Not only do they support other local businesses and sell various goods from other local artisans, they also support local nonprofits. With “Giveback Day” and “Bagel of Change” you can help the Chattanooga community. Sourdough Cuppa Joe
Sourdough Cuppa Joe is a coffee shop located in Hixson that took over the retired Nana’s Frozen Custard shop. At first they just focused on coffee and sourdough bread, hence the name. But it didn’t take long for the old Nana’s owner to convince Sourdough Cuppa Joe to try selling frozen custard too. And since the locals already know and love Nana’s, this addition of something familiar really took off. Now you can have good coffee AND frozen custard at the same time! I also love their creative, seasonal drinks that always consist of unique flavoring combinations and are never too sweet. Oaks Coffee House
Oaks Coffee House is off of Bonny Oaks Drive near Lee Highway. Not only do they have a drive-thru, their indoor space is perfect for meetings or getting some work done. They get their coffee from various local roasters and they make their own syrups in-house. Oaks Coffee House started with a mission to support coffee farmers and the local community here in Chattanooga. Today they still share their profits with various local and faith-based nonprofits in the Chattanooga area.

Lola Beans
Lola Beans was started by a family and is also named after one of their daughters. It was inspired by the Alaskan drive-thru coffee huts the family visited while they lived in Alaska. Lola Beans offers fun and unique coffee drinks as well as energy drinks, teas, italian sodas, and more. They have a more lively and fun approach than what you’d expect from a typical coffee shop. With fun drink names and friendly staff, Lola Beans strives to have a familiar and homey feel for everyone who pulls through their drive-thru coffee shop.

Sunnyside Cup
Sunnyside Cup is a unique, drive-thru coffee trailer on Broad Street. Started by two sisters from Alaska, this coffee shop has been a Broad Street favorite for many years now. Sunnyside Cup loves to support other local businesses by purchasing their coffee from a local roaster and food from a local bakery. The most fun part is that their drink stoppers are stickers that you can put on a card to collect for their rewards program. This is the most unique loyalty card system I’ve seen yet!

Mean Mug started in the Southside in 2011 and has since expanded to a total of 4 locations in the Chattanooga area. One of the newest locations just so happens to have a drive-thru! I’ve personally visited each location and even though they all have a slightly different aesthetic due to their buildings, I am impressed by how each location is clearly a Mean Mug. Every Mean Mug serves the same coffee in the same colored cups and the same made-from-scratch food menu. If you’re in a hurry and hungry too for breakfast or lunch, be sure to check out their drive-thru location to satisfy your needs.

Drip Kitchen and Coffee
Drip started out as a local Dayton coffee shop and is expanding to a third location in Hixson. Not only do they offer drive-thru service, they also have the perfect indoor and outdoor space to meet with friends or get some computer work done. Drip also features a full food menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and more. Whenever I’m in Dayton, I always make a point to grab some coffee in the drive-thru for my trip home.

These Chattanooga drive-thru coffee shops started as local coffee shops in another state. They may not be Chattanooga exclusives, but they are still local to their hometowns at heart and share the love here in Chatt.
Red Owl
Red Owl is based out of Valdosta, GA and Chattanooga is their first expansion out of state. Since they are still small in terms of branching out, they still roast their own coffee in Valdosta, GA. They have plenty of coffee drinks to choose from and some of the drinks on the menu come with extra doses of caffeine. Red Owl also serves some amazing bagel sandwiches which I always snag when I stop by.

7 Brew
I can’t let myself start a sentence with a number so…7 Brew is a drive-thru coffee chain local to Rogers, AR. They have 130 stores and counting. Their name comes from the original 7 coffee drinks they have on the menu. But you can order just about anything you’d like here. They’re not your typical drive-thru coffee service as they prefer to walk right to your car as a more personable experience than pulling up window to window. And they’re one of the quickest coffee drive-thrus you’ll ever find.

Scooter’s Coffee
Scooter’s Coffee began in 1998 in Bellevue, NE. Today they have over 600 locations countrywide. The name came from the idea for this drive-thru coffee shop which is serving good coffee fast so people can quickly “scoot in and scoot out.” If you love your coffee more sweet and creamy than, well, coffee-ey, this is definitely the place for you. And every cup also has a smiley face sticker on it like a special note to help you have a great day.
