It’s past time that I share with you the story behind Exploring Chatt. How it all began, what the mission is, and where it’s going. So, here’s everything about Exploring Chatt.
The Story Behind Exploring Chatt
Growing up, I loved giving directions to kids on this massive playground I’d frequent. It was so big with so many intersections and dead ends, so many kids would get lost. Eventually I learned all the paths quite well, so when scared children felt trapped in the nightmare of this jungle gym, I was able to gracefully guide them out. They were all so grateful every time and I felt like I was a necessary part of that playground. What did these kids do when I wasn’t there? I’ll never know, and I’ll never understand why such a dangerous playground concept was built, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved being able to help others find their way out of the mess and I loved exploring all the avenues it offered too.
And thus, when deciding what passion of mine to share about, Exploring Chatt was born. Here I can share my love Chattanooga and for exploring new places. All while providing directions for those in need. Wondering where to hike that fits your criteria? I’ve got a guide for you. Wondering what local business to visit? All of them! Haha, no seriously, they’re all so great. But I have also created Behind the Business Chatt where you can learn more about the stories behind Chattanooga’s most loved businesses. The Mission
One of my missions is to inspire you to explore your own back yard. Whether you live in Chattanooga or not, there’s plenty to explore all around you. From busy city streets with hidden hole-in-the-wall shops or special parks to countryside landscapes of grassy fields or paths through the forest. Wherever you call home, go outside, pause, and take a closer look at what’s around you.
Another mission is to help the community of Chattanooga as much as possible. Right now, I do not make any money from this endeavor. But in the future, I plan to and my hope is to use a good portion of it to give back to the community. I love Chattanooga and strive to benefit it the best I can. For now though, I support the local business community through Behind the Business Chatt. I do not charge these businesses for the content I create for them. Because being a small business is pricey enough. Instead I offer free publicity to them in exchange for their time. I hope that Behind the Business Chatt continues to grow and benefits the businesses that are involved.
Always Growing
As time continues, Exploring Chatt grows. It’s continually morphing into new branches that I never even thought of when I started with this idea. Who knows what the future will bring. I have goals, dreams, and plans, but I have a feeling that there’s more to come than I even know exists right now. Let’s find out together where this thing goes.
